Another for a static van or a caravan or sometimes called trailers is a mobile home. The main usage of these is to provide for a temporary living arrangement where it is either difficult to get accommodation or rather too expensive. Sometimes they are even used as a makeshift arrangement at campsites. Now primarily what distinguishes them from other homes or accommodation facilities is the fact that they are mobile and hence can be taken from one place to another.
These type of houses can be dated back as late far back as the time since which cars have been around. The idea of such mobile homes have been derived from the concept of trailers where a small unit with wheels attached to it was used for purposes of camping. These type of extra units are usually made rectangular in shape and are plated with aluminium instead of the usual steel.
Now as it may sound predictable, many people who could not afford larger normal homes took to buying these mobile homes as way to get accommodation within their budgets. Now the producers of such mobile homes had to adhere with many government regulations and rules because of the vast sales of such mobile homes and the extent to which they were used. For example the problem of windzones was an important factor and there had to changes in production techniques abide by such changing regulations.
Now the state of Florida is on the gulf coast in the south eastern side of The United States of America. It is bounded by Alabama and Georgia to the north and the Atlantic ocean on the east. It is the fourth most populous state in the country with census of 2010 estimating around more than eighteen and a half million people to house. Majority of the people are from other states and illegal immigrants and its population is still immensely growing.
Now with such a vast a population came the problem of housing them. But land is a limited resource and agricultural land cannot be given up for the usage of non-agricultural purposes. Usage of farming land for other things would dwindle food supplies and that would lead to greater macroeconomic issues than housing problems. Even the availability of efficient housing via apartments was fast declining and becoming ineffective because of the unmanageable growth of the population.
Hence to combat this problem there was only one solution and that would be the production and sale of mobile homes. They are within financial means of the people, can be taken from one place to another, provide for temporary accommodation at a place where living is expensive or not available and most of all help in saving space. They do not take up useless space and can be transported from one place to another and hence their demand and sales in the state of Florida is as high as ever owing to the unmanageable and rapidly increasing population base over the years.
